Under årets E3 annonserte Ubisoft at de også kaster seg inn i kampen med en abonnementløsning for spill. Tjenesten deres blir kalt Uplay+ og koster 15 dollar i måneden, noe mange mener er i det drøyeste laget for hva en slik tjeneste skal ta betalt.
Premium- og gullutgaver av mange spill
Nå er den fulle oversikten over spill som følger med i abonnementet lansert, og i listen finnes mange godbiter, de fleste med premiumutgaver der dette er tilgjengelig. Nærmest alle Assassin’s Creed- og Far Cry-spillene er i listen, noe som gir svært mye valuta for pengene om du hadde tenkt å ta en titt på disse.
Du finnes i tillegg til ferske Odyssey i Assassins’s Creed-serien en rekke mer eller mindre kjente spillserier, med alt fra Tom Clancy og Prince of Persia til Rayman, Dust og Speed Busters. De ser også ut til å ha inkludert Watch Dogs Legion og Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint i listen til tross for at spillene enda ikke er lansert. Forhåpentligvis er dette et tegn på at de vil fortsette med denne tilnærmingen for andre spill også, der de slippes i abonnementutvalget så fort de lanseres:

Uplay+ lanseres for PC-spillere den 3. september, der de som forhåndsbestiller et medlemskap får sin første måned gratis. Ubisoft har enda ikke sagt noe om tilgjengelighet på konsoll, men det kan tenkes at også PS4- og Xbox-spillere får bli med på moroa etterhvert.
